Montenegro is a sovereign state in Southeastern Europe. In January 2007, Montenegro joined the World Bank and IMF, and in December 2011, the WTO. Montenegro began negotiations to join the EU in 2012. They also uses the euro as its domestic currency, though it is not an official member of the euro zone.
